San Diego Chiropractor

Dr. Katrina Hackett (Stopper), DC is a graduate of Southern California University of Health Sciences, (LACC). Prior to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, she worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer and NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist at University of California, San Diego. There she worked with various staff, students and University Athletics’ teams such as Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Track & Field, Soccer, Crew and Water Polo. While there, she also had the pleasure of assisting with the instruction and supervision of interns from the San Diego State Athletic Training Program. Dr. Stopper continues to serve as an Emergency Medical Responder & Athletic Trainer for Events at UCSD on an as needed basis.

In addition, Dr. Hackett (Stopper) has had extensive experience working with patients for post-operative and sports injury rehabilitation in the physical therapy clinics not only here in San Diego’s Health South Physical Therapy, (Oasis Sports Medicine location), but in her native states of New York and Connecticut. Her experience includes serving as Head Athletic Trainer at San Diego's St. Augustine High School before returning to school to complete her doctorate.

Favorite Pastimes: During her time out of the office, mountain biking, trail running, soccer, skiing, golf and Pilates are some of Dr. Katrina's favorite athletic activities. But, get to know her and you'll soon learn many other hobby's that rank pretty high, as well! She currently enjoys her newly married active life residing here in San Diego with her husband, Matt Hackett.

Lifestyle Thoughts: "I've spent my entire life being active, and know how frustrating it can be when that ability is taken away for whatever reason. Being able to wake up every day knowing that I'm blessed enough to live here in San Diego, a place full of active opportunities, surround by family and friends is an absolute blessing that I hope to never take for granted. I'm dedicated to keeping an active, healthy lifestyle and doing whatever I can to help those around me do the same!"

Prior to moving to the beautiful County of San Diego, California, Dr. Hackett received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Human Movement & Sports Science) and Athletic Training from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT.
